We fancy the thought of having a home or even more a virtual planet of our own out here in cyber space. Many questions have been raised on the purpose of this planet. To that, the answer is that we citizens wish only to share the little knowledge and ideas of ours. Naturally, we would indeed welcome comments and thoughts on matters on our planet. No man is an island, and no planet is a solar system.

Further Information

Padang Kemunting in Melaka is the largest Hawksbill turtle landing in the whole of Malaysia. Located next to Port Dickson, it is a beach approximately 25 km in length. Hawksbill turtles and Painted terrapins arrives, mostly between the months of May and September, to nests on the coastal sandy beaches of this secluded location. However, the mortality rate for turtles here has been increasing to 70%, as compared to Ma-Daerah where it has been reduced to only 35%. This strongly indicates that the turtle eggs have not been hatching well, and if nothing is done soon, the number of these endangered turtles will continue to dwindle thus facing a greater threat of extinction. For more information or enquiries, kindly refer to the project website at http://www.geocities.com/tjjturtle, or send an email to tjjturtle@gmail.com.

Thank You!
